Preparing some cards

Hi guys

So this saturday will be national card making day and I will be attending my craft camp and looking forward to it.  I have been crafting so many things lately and you guys have seen what I have been creating. I will be sharing a card I am making for a friend as he will be attending a wedding in october and it will be in new Orleans so took that in mind and this is what I have come up with.

I first stated with a white boarder around the card but I didn't like how it was too much white on the card. I wanted the blue to POP out a bit more so after adding another flur de le I changed the backing to black.

Funny how a change of color makes the card look so different plus the addition of the butterfly add a bit more pop also. I am hoping not only will my friend like it but the couple who receive it.

I created another halloween card and like how I used different mediums for my final look. There is watercolors, ink, embellishments just like how it all came together. Now looking forward to start more halloween cards and christmas cards.

While I was going to my local hobby store I came across this one stamp which one of my friends is looking for. I told him where it was and he said he wanted to go this coming wednesday to go and purchase it. Till next time.

A bit late

Hey guys

So I have been receiving card kits from Paper Pumpkin and have liked them but the kit for this month I LOVE it. It is a Halloween kit, I have seen the past kits for paper pumpkin and they never had a holiday one. But this month it is a great kit. I love all it has to offer,  the stamps are a great addition to what I already have. Plus I get a orange ink pad which I don't already have.

So with the kit I was thinking about what to create with it.  I knew I wanted to use the witch I had fussy cut. But I didn't have a plan yet, so while looking at my craft desk I had a few scraps laying out.  So I got to thinking and this is the card I ended up creating.

I added a few more things like some stickers and the saying happy Halloween on the inside. I love how it came out and looking forward to creating more.  Till next time.

Getting new stamps

Hi Guys,

Well I have discovered a stamp company by the name of The Greeting Farm stamps and have loved there stamps. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a few when they have a farmers market special. I like the size of the stamp and have just started to play with them to see how I can combine them with the other things I have in my craft room. The following are the ones I did get and plan on getting some more.

These girls remind me of my nieces and would love to make something for them and give it to them.  For know I am just coloring and seeing what I can combine them with and see what the outcome will be.

This one is my favorite and according to the website its an exclusive stamp. So now want to see what I will be creating with the stamp for winter and what other color combinations I can come up with. Well now back to the craft room to continue what I was making. Till next time.

Had a great craft class

I was waiting forward to my craft class for this past sunday. And I really liked what we had done for the class.  I like how we used the products from the catalogue. I was all looking forward to creating the witch and then I noticed something. The top picture is the one i created and when I was making the witch I set up the face wrong so she came out upside down.  I didn't know how to fix the issue and then a fellow member gave me a solution. I think it was a happy mistake.

The next product we created was a candy bag, This one is so cool, it was held together with a straw that holds it together. Like how the colors all tie together and make it a nice halloween scene.

This one is one that I would like to recreate and use different papers.  I like how it can hold different types of candy in it.

Well this one was short but what is getting me excited is about next month to go to stamp camp can't wait to what projects we will be creating and I am also glad I got one of my friends to join me. This will also make one year then a stranger (now a friend) introduced me to the camp. Looking forward to see her there and seeing all the other people too. Well till next time.

Well craft fair so so

Hey Guys

I went to my first craft fair and it was so so. Well the truth it was DEAD but I am not discouraged because there will be an art walk next week so looking forward to that one. I am sorry about yesterday's blog but I was busy with creating items for the fair. So the following pictures are what i created for the fair and can't wait to see what else I will be able to create.

These are a simple box for giving a gift for any treats you want. I didn't want to make them holiday theme but I like how they came out.  I am still looking for more different type of paper to see what other boxes I will be making.

A repeat of the more bookmakers and just want to make some more so I really am looking forward to this.

I really like how this one card came out you can't really tell from the card but I used H20 and love the sparkle on the card. I liked doing watercolor with the card. I am looking forward to make some more cards with the watercolors.

A few more boxes for treats and yes there are Halloween type and like how they came out can't wait to see what other stamps I can use to create more boxes with different type paper.

I love how these cards came out. This is from a template I saw from a youtuber and love how it came out. Really like how using the different oranges for the pumpkins.

So from the pumpkin template I had an idea for  Halloween and since I loved candy apples I wanted to see how I could alter the card a bit to make the card come out. I just love how it came out and thinking of making more.

So with the scary candy apples  I wanted to make some non scary type cards so a bit more tweaking I was able to make these cards now.

Well that was all that I created and can't wait to see what else I will be creating. Till next time .

Invite to a craft sale

Hi guys

So a friend of mine invited me to see if I wanted to see some of my cards I created and I told him that I would. In saying yes to him made me realize that I would have to have some product in order to get ready for the sale. I decided to make some cards, bookmakers and I think containers. So I began to see what I had and began to start a few cards.

So this is the first cards I was making . I have a stocking die so I just cut out two pieces and scored the second half of the card.  I connected the two pieces together and came up with this. Looks ok think I just add a bit more to make the card Pop.

Then after making four of the stocking cards. I looked to see what other dies I had and remembered I have the gingerbread die from Tim Holtz and thought well here could be another card to be created. So just like the stocking card I cut two pieces out scored them and glued them together. I think it looks nice, now I just have to see if I want to keep them like that or add a few eyes and extras.

In finishing the last card I did remember I came across a template for a pumpkin card and set out to look for the template and create a card. I really like how it came out and love how it ties into halloween and the season. As I was finishing this one card I thought how if only two of the pieces were attached the card looked like a apple. So that gave me the inspiration for my next card.

This is what I have come up with so far. I got the idea from Snow White when the evil queen is creating the apple and how the dipping effects looks like a skull. So now was just to create my template for the dripping goo. After a few tries this is my final out come and I love how it came out. Now I just have to create a few more and in different colors. Well this is for now and can't wait to see what will happen at the craft fair.

Halloween everywhere

Hi guys,

So Halloween is being displayed everywhere so I thought I might as well start on a few cards. I really like how both of them came out, but I will say one of the cards has more of a fall theme to it. I do like how both of them look. There third card is one in progress but am looking to see how it will finally come out.
It took me sometime to come up the idea for the second card.  But love how the effects on both cards came out. I tried some watercolors on the second card to see how it would come out and I like the effect on it.  My last card it one I am still working on and hoping to finish it before the week ends. Just have to get some paper out and see what can go with what i have out.

I really do like how this one card came out. The colors and all the effects on the card make it look very nice. I was going for a multicolored effect on the feathers and loved the result. The only thing was when I did the card the first time it was only blue and yellow that brown part at the bottom was an after thought. I am happy at the result of the card.

So this is my card in progress and I will use both pieces and am now just looking at all my stash and trying to see what color combination will go with what I already have . I will say I do like the stamp glad I took that trip to joann's and saw this stamp.

Well thats it for now will go back to see what I will be doing in the coming weeks.

Getting the Halloween bite

Hello

So I was thinking of what to start to create and get me in the mood for halloween and I first thought about making a card. Then I thought more about a container and thats what made me think of the box.
I used patterned paper and solid pater. I was going to make bands for both boxes but then I changed it up for the second box. I like the colors on the box and the wiggle eyes on the second box. Very simple boxes to make now just to decide if to put cookies in the boxes or just candy.

So now I have to decide how many more boxes to create and also I want to create a few cards to go along with these boxes. Now I have to go hunting to see all my halloween stamps I have and start to create more products. I am also gonna try a few different colors for my halloween projects.

Till next time.

Finished a request from my niece

When I got a call from my sister in law that she was throwing a quick birthday party for my niece. I was left with what can i get for a last minute gift. I did remember I was making some bookmakers and picked one of them to give to her. When she received her gift she loved it so much. I told her if she wanted more I would make them for her. She loved them and so did her sisters and brother. So I told them I would create some for them. So with the stamps I have it took time to create some and these are the results.

I love how each one came out. The tassels were a bit time consuming but love how all of them came out. Now just need to deliver them and start another project. I did combine embellishments, glitter, cutouts and punches. One project I will be working on are Halloween cards for friends and also getting ready for the holidays.

Well thats so far for right now and like I said in my last post I am looking forward to the stamp camp next month. Can't wait to see what we will be creating.

A card for my niece.

Hi guys,

I had gotten a call to attend my nieces birthday party on short notice.  So I had to think of something quick to do. I came up with a nice card for her but not the usual 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. So this is the card that I came up with.

I like how all the layers came out. For a softer look I went with colored pencils. I think the card came out great.  I also gave her one of the bookmakers I made. She loved it so much she asked for me to create 3 more.  I am working on those and some more for her brother and sisters.
Well this time the blog was a bit short till next time.

Just an update on my projects

Hi There

Sorry, I forgot to blog on Wednesday about my process on the projects I am working on. I did stamp a selection of Julie nutting stamps and fussy cut them out.  I was able to finish the boxes I showed on Mondays blog.  Here is what the final outcome is.

I love how each of them came out. The front is an assortment of glitter and embellishments. I could not decide of what to use to cover the front of the box. I ended up with using washi tape and tissue paper. I think was a great out come. I will now look for something more to add to this maybe mini clothespins.

Here are my Julie nutting stamps which i fussy cut out. I am now just thinking of projects to add them to and will show off what I did.  I will be thinking of either fall or winter cards to add the girls to but not the birthday ones.  I played around with colors and most were just colored with colored pencils since it would produce a softer look to them. I did add a bit of glitter here and there just for a bit of pop. Well that's it for now till next time. Oh and btw I am looking forward to a local stamp camp that will be coming next month.

Hi there,

Just sharing a project I had done a while back. Love how it is distressed and how it looks like a vintage suitcase. This was one I created while visiting a friend. I was so lucky to find the paper to give it that vintage look.

This inspired me to start on some wooden boxes I had purchased last year in my Michael's store. I have only just began but am looking forward to what my finished boxes will look like.

Well this is so far what I have just gotten done well keep working on it till it is finished.   Till next time, when I will be showing more crafts.
